• 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying runners-up in Group G, finishing behind Spain to advance to the play-offs;
• Euro 2016 Group E winners, opening with a 2-0 victory over Belgium.

Gianluigi Buffon (#1) features on this shirt as Italy's captain and first-choice goalkeeper, the most-capped player in the national team's history, marshalling a defence built around team-mates Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli.
