• Copa del Rey winners, beating Sevilla 5-0 in the final to complete the domestic double;
• UEFA Champions League quarter-finalists, eliminated by Roma on away goals after winning the first leg 4-1 at Camp Nou before losing 0-3 in Rome.

This blue home shirt with its red vertical pinstripes and yellow collar trim reflects the fading-stripe design Nike introduced for Barcelona that season, the club's first campaign with Rakuten as shirt sponsor, with a Catalan flag detail worked into the neckline.

Jordi Alba (#18) was Barcelona's first-choice left-back that season, a regular starter in a defence built around Gerard Piqué under new head coach Ernesto Valverde, with Lionel Messi and Andrés Iniesta driving the attack.
